Saving Our Democracy | Barbara Clark & Leo Immonen

Are we in danger of losing our democracy? Why might that be? And what can be done to preserve it? Discussion will follow the service. Leo Immonen, a Wrentham resident and volunteer with We the People Massachusetts, will speak about a legislative strategy to get big, dark money out of politics which, along with gerrymandering, is one of the biggest threats to our democracy. Leo helped the Green Reel Collaborative screen films for 9 years. He is a retired high school math teacher and chair of the Wrentham Conservation Commission.

The Spirituality of Dance  |  Ruth Debrot & Barbi Calusidan

Each of us is a moving center, a space of divine mystery. And though we spend most of our time on the surface in the daily details of ordinary existence, most of us hunger to connect to this space within, to break through to bliss, to be swept away into something bigger than us.

The Journey Inward: Moving Towards the Answers Inside  |  Laura DeSimone

We spend much of our lives on the go moving from one thing to the next. This "doing" mentality takes the focus off our much needed "being" state. When we slow down and begin to focus on the here and now, we can tune into ourselves and begin to learn and trust our innate wisdom. This wisdom is where all of our answers reside.

Crooked Paths  | Ted Weil

Life's paths are rarely, if ever, as straight and precise as we often think they should be. Partly because of our own expectations, and partly because so many around us seem to enjoy seemingly trouble and conflict-free lives that keep going exactly as they seem to plan. We'll explore the need to settle those anxieties, and instead learn to appreciate each of our unique and individual journeys through life, by learning to recognize the wisdom and the strength we gain traveling them.

Blessing of the Animals  |  Kavita Vansant

Our pets are a part of our family. We love and care for them and in return we receive unconditional love, companionship, comfort and loyalty. Let us acknowledge how our pets uplift our lives and why we have them. Bring your pet (on a leash/cage please), a photo of your pet and/or a favorite stuffed animal to be blessed. The service will be held outside-weather permitting.

Please also check the Murray Notes newsletter for updates on other church events and activities.
