| We
are a caring community dedicated to the free and open search for spiritual
meaning and growth.
We
come together in the spirit of mutual caring and respect to celebrate
life, offer service, and work for a better world. We are rich in
diversity with members of all ages and life-styles.
We endeavor to provide a welcoming home to all who join us in pursuing justice,
tolerance, and compassion, with respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
As
a self-governing democratic organization,
our members have an equal voice in all decision making.
We
welcome families
of all shapes and sizes. Child care is available in our Nursery for babies
and toddlers. Older children are welcome to visit our
Sunday School classes
where parents are always welcome.
As
Unitarian Universalists we believe that
religious
education is a life long
process, as each of us continues to grow
and to realize the spiritual dimensions to
our lives.
Social
action outreach is an expression of our Unitarian
Universalist principles and purposes in action. By addressing social
justice issues at local, regional and global levels and by raising awareness
within the church community, we strive to
create
a
better
world
in
which
to
live. Here are some of the ways we in which we live our values:
We
warmly welcome all people to our faith community without
discrimination on
the basis of race, gender, age, color, national origin, ethnic
background, socioeconomic status, marital status, disability, sexual
orientation or gender identity. In accordance with our Unitarian Universalist
principles and purposes, we affirm the inherent worth and dignity of
every person.
We
invite you to contact us
and we will be happy to
answer any questions you may have. Thanks for visiting our web site and look
forward to seeing you at church!
Unitarian Universalist Principles for Kids
We believe: That each and every person is important; That all people should be treated fairly and with kindness;
That we should accept one another and keep on learning together; That each person must be free to search for what is true and
right in life; That all persons should have a voice in the things that concern
them; In working for a peaceful, fair, and free world; In caring for our planet earth, the home we share with all
living things.
