On
Saturday, May 22, a contingent of 12 Murrayites and 2 dogs hiked the Great

| On Saturday, October 10, we
travelled to Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA.
On October 9th
group of ten enjoyed a sunny, but windy, day at Fruitlands Museum in
Harvard, MA. On approaching the museum, first-timers were stunned by the
gorgeous view from the ridge with Wachusett Mountain, Mount Watatic, Mount
Monadnock, and lesser elevations in the distance. A few highlights of the
trip included the farm house where Bronson Alcott and Charles Lane led a
Transcendentalist utopian experiment, the Shaker office building, the
galleries, and Joseph Wheelwright's astonishing tree figures. It being
Native American Festival weekend we got to try authentic corn cakes.
